How to Get Paid From OnlyFans in Colombia: Payout Methods, Fees and Taxes

How to withdraw your OnlyFans earnings in Colombia: the 20% fee, minimum payout, SWIFT transfers, exchange rates and what to report to the DIAN.

How to Get Paid From OnlyFans in Colombia: Payout Methods, Fees and Taxes

This guide is for creators 18 and older. Once your account is up and running, the next step is understanding how money gets from OnlyFans to your bank in Colombia, how much you lose along the way and what you owe the DIAN, Colombia's tax agency. If you haven't started yet, read our step-by-step guide to starting on OnlyFans first.

This information is general. Platform and bank terms change, so always confirm them in your account and talk to a contador (a Colombian accountant) about your own situation.

Quick summary

  • Fee: OnlyFans keeps 20% of every payment and you receive 80%.
  • Minimum payout: $20, the figure cited by news outlets and creator guides. It may vary by method.
  • Most common method from Colombia: an international wire transfer (SWIFT) to a bank account in your name.
  • Extra costs: intermediary bank charges, your bank's exchange rate and the 4x1000, a Colombian tax on bank withdrawals and transfers.
  • Taxes: if you're a tax resident of Colombia, this income goes on your income tax return whenever you're required to file.

How the money reaches your account

  1. A subscriber pays in dollars by card: a subscription, a tip, a message or a paid post. Here's how it looks from their side: how OnlyFans works in Colombia.
  2. OnlyFans deducts its 20% fee.
  3. The remaining 80% shows up as a pending balance. According to creator guides, it becomes available after about 7 or 8 days; for new accounts, it may take longer.
  4. Once your available balance reaches the minimum, you request a payout or schedule automatic payouts.
  5. The money travels by international transfer to your bank, which converts it into Colombian pesos.

Keep in mind that, under OnlyFans' terms, refunds and chargebacks can be deducted from your earnings.

Payout methods available in Colombia

Payout methods depend on your country and can change. You'll see the ones that apply to you in the payments section of your account when you add your bank details.

  • International wire transfer (SWIFT): the most widely used option from Colombia. You need an account in your own name and your bank's SWIFT code.
  • E-wallets: in some countries, options such as Paxum appear. If you see one, compare costs and find out whether you can move the money to your Colombian bank, and at what price.

An important tip: some digital wallets and payment companies restrict income from adult platforms in their policies and may freeze your account. Read their terms before you use them. And be wary of anyone who offers to receive your payouts in an account in their name.

How to set up your bank transfer

  1. Ask your bank whether your account can receive transfers from abroad and what its SWIFT code is. Bancolombia, for example, publishes the code COLOCOBM.
  2. On OnlyFans, enter your details exactly as they appear at the bank: full name, account number and type, bank name and address, and SWIFT code.
  3. Make a small first withdrawal to check that everything works.
  4. Find out how to accept the transfer: some banks deposit it automatically and others ask you to accept it online. Bancolombia, for example, lets you turn on automatic deposit or accept the transfer within 30 days.
  5. When your bank asks for the purpose of the transfer (part of what Colombia calls the declaración de cambio, a foreign exchange report), ask your bank or contador which category fits your case.

Fees and exchange rates: how much you actually get

Several deductions stand between what a subscriber pays and what lands in your account:

  • OnlyFans' fee: 20% of every payment.
  • Intermediary banks: on a SWIFT transfer, they may charge a fee in dollars. Bancolombia, for example, says receiving a transfer costs nothing at its end, but other banks may charge fees.
  • Exchange rate: your bank converts dollars to pesos at its own rate, which is usually a bit below the TRM, Colombia's official daily exchange rate. Compare before you accept.
  • 4x1000: this tax of 4 pesos per 1,000 applies when you withdraw or transfer money. There's an exemption for one savings account up to a certain monthly amount; ask your bank how to register it.

A hypothetical example: if you earn $100 in a month, OnlyFans leaves you $80. If an intermediary bank charges $15 for the transfer, $65 reaches you before conversion to pesos. That's why fewer, larger withdrawals usually make more sense: a flat fee weighs less on a bigger amount.

Taxes: what you need to know about the DIAN

This section is general and doesn't replace advice from a contador. Every case is different.

Foreign income must be reported too

If you're a tax resident of Colombia, you're taxed on income from both Colombian and foreign sources. According to the DIAN, one way to become a resident is to spend more than 183 days in the country, consecutive or not, within any 365-day period; there are other criteria as well. OnlyFans payouts count as income even though they come from a foreign company.

When do you have to file?

You must file an income tax return if you meet at least one of the legal thresholds. For tax year 2025, filed between August and October 2026, the main ones were:

  • Gross income of 1,400 UVT or more (about 69.7 million pesos).
  • Gross assets above 4,500 UVT (about 224 million pesos).
  • Credit card spending, total purchases or bank deposits of 1,400 UVT or more during the year.
  • Being registered to charge IVA (Colombia's value-added tax) at year-end.

For tax year 2026, filed in 2027, the UVT is 52,374 pesos, so the thresholds in pesos go up: 1,400 UVT is about 73.3 million pesos. Watch the bank deposit threshold: it adds up everything that comes into your accounts during the year.

Other possible obligations

  • If you must file, you need to be registered in the RUT, the DIAN's taxpayer registry.
  • Your contador can tell you whether you have other obligations, such as electronic invoicing or IVA, depending on your situation.
  • The DIAN has said it is studying a special tax scheme for income from adult content platforms, including possible withholding at the source. Check for new rules before you file.

Keep your records in order

  • Download your OnlyFans earnings report every month.
  • Keep bank statements and the receipt for every transfer.
  • Record your work expenses with proof (equipment, internet, advertising); your contador will tell you which ones you can use.
  • Set aside part of every payout for taxes.

Common payout mistakes

  • Using someone else's bank account: it can block your payouts and create tax problems for that person.
  • Handing your login to an "agency" so it can "manage payments." There are documented cases of agencies changing an account's bank details to keep the money.
  • Accepting payments from subscribers outside the platform, for example through Nequi, a popular Colombian payment app: you lose OnlyFans' protection, expose yourself to scams and may break its rules.
  • Assuming the DIAN can't see transfers from abroad: financial institutions report this information.
  • Spending it all without saving anything for taxes.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum payout on OnlyFans?

The figure cited by news outlets and creator guides is $20 for most methods. Confirm the exact amount in the payments section of your account.

Can I get paid from OnlyFans through Nequi or Daviplata?

These Colombian wallets didn't appear as direct payout methods in the information we reviewed. The usual route is an international transfer to a bank account in your name; from there, you can move the money to your wallets.

Do I have to pay taxes on what I earn on OnlyFans?

If you're a tax resident of Colombia, that income goes on your income tax return. If you meet any of the thresholds, you must file and, depending on your case, pay. Talk to a contador.

How long does it take for the money to arrive?

It depends on the method and your bank. First, earnings sit as a pending balance for a few days; after that, an international transfer usually takes a few business days.
