Babo and his OnlyFans: the Cártel de Santa rapper who moved to the platform

Does Babo have OnlyFans?

Yes. Babo, frontman and founder of the rap group Cártel de Santa, opened his account on OnlyFans (nicknamed the “página azul,” or blue page, in Latin America) in early June 2022. TV Azteca, Uno TV, Publimetro and SDP Noticias reported the launch, and since then he has been one of the few Mexican men among the country's most viewed profiles.

In November 2024 Posta published an analysis by the Semrush tool of the five most visited profiles from Mexico between January and August that year. The rapper's came second, with about 7.3 million visits, behind only Karely Ruiz.

Who is Babo?

His real name is Eduardo Dávalos de Luna. According to Infobae, he was born on March 2, 1977, in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León. In 1996 he formed Cártel de Santa with Rowan Rabia, and the group became popular in the early 2000s with its first album, according to Uno TV. Among its best-known songs are “Perros,” “Todas mueren por mí” and “La Pelotona.”

Off stage, Infobae credits him with several businesses under the Babilonia name: a barbershop and a tattoo studio in Santa Catarina, a clothing brand for the group and a hip-hop record label he founded in 2004 with Rowan Rabia and Dharius.

Why did he open OnlyFans?

The reason the media gave in 2022 was censorship. TV Azteca and SDP Noticias explained that Instagram and Facebook had removed his posts because of the way he talks, and that he had even come close to losing an account. In his new profile's description he wrote, in his usual blunt style, that there he could do and say whatever he wanted.

At first he said he had no plans to post adult material, although he did not rule it out, according to TV Azteca. Uno TV described his first posts as similar to his Instagram ones, and SDP Noticias added that he shared previews of songs in progress and held live streams to chat with his followers.

How much does Babo's OnlyFans cost?

The subscription launched for free. Publimetro reported in June 2022 that what was paid separately was the extra content, priced between 20 and 50 dollars. Seven months later, SDP Noticias confirmed that access was still free and that some posts cost from 300 to 1,000 pesos. Around that time his account trended because of a platform-exclusive version of his song “Piensa en mí.”

The collaboration that never happened

For months there was talk of a joint project on the platform with Karely Ruiz. In June 2024, on Celia Lora's podcast, Babo explained that they did discuss it but could not agree on the type of content, so it never came out, according to La Razón. See more profiles in our Mexico section.
