How to Get Paid From OnlyFans in Peru: Dollar Accounts, Exchange Rates and What SUNAT Requires

How to withdraw OnlyFans earnings in Peru: the 20% fee, transfers to a dollar account, exchange rates, the RUC and how SUNAT treats this income.

How to Get Paid From OnlyFans in Peru: Dollar Accounts, Exchange Rates and What SUNAT Requires

Short answer: from Peru, the usual way to get paid from OnlyFans is an international transfer to an account in your own name, ideally a dollar account so you don't convert twice. The platform keeps 20% and you keep 80%. For SUNAT, Peru's tax agency, what followers pay to access content from a creator resident in the country is third-category income, so you need a RUC (taxpayer number) and must file.

This guide is for creators 18 and older. It explains how the money travels from the platform to your bank in Peru, the costs along the way and what SUNAT has said about this kind of income. If you don't have your account yet, start with our step-by-step guide to starting on OnlyFans.

Quick summary

  • Fee: 20% of every payment, according to OnlyFans' Terms of Service.
  • Currency: the platform typically operates in US dollars.
  • Usual method: a transfer from abroad to a Peruvian account in your name; the exact options appear in your account.
  • Taxes: according to a 2022 SUNAT report, this is third-category income.

How does OnlyFans money reach Peru?

  1. A subscriber pays by card for a subscription, a message, a paid post or a tip.
  2. OnlyFans keeps its 20% and leaves the rest as your balance.
  3. Once your balance is above the minimum payout (outlets and creator guides cite $20), you request a payout or schedule one.
  4. The money goes out in dollars to the account you registered.

The platform's terms warn that, if a currency conversion is needed, the final amount includes those costs, and that your bank's fees for receiving money from abroad are your responsibility. If a subscriber gets a refund or chargeback, your share can be deducted too.

What account do I need to get paid from OnlyFans in Peru?

Methods depend on your country and can change: you'll see them when you fill in your details in the payments section. For a bank transfer:

  1. Choose an account in your name, with the same details as your identity verification. The terms allow the platform to check that they match.
  2. Consider a dollar account. Peruvian banks commonly offer accounts in that currency, so you decide when to switch to soles.
  3. Ask your bank for its SWIFT code and what it charges to receive a transfer from abroad.
  4. Make a small first withdrawal to confirm everything arrives.

How much do I get in soles?

  • Platform fee: 20% of what you earn.
  • Incoming transfer fee: many banks charge for each transfer from abroad, and intermediary banks may add charges.
  • Exchange rate: if you convert to soles, the bank uses its own rate. Compare it with the rate published by the Banco Central de Reserva del Perú to see how much of a margin you're paying.

Since the bank's fee is usually flat per transfer, it weighs less if you withdraw larger amounts less often. To estimate your income before taxes, use our OnlyFans earnings calculator, and to see what's realistic, read how much OnlyFans creators make.

Do you have to pay SUNAT taxes on OnlyFans income?

This section is general and doesn't replace advice from an accountant.

What SUNAT said

In June 2022, SUNAT published Report No. 000044-2022-SUNAT/7T0000, covered by the official newspaper El Peruano. According to that report, income earned by Peru residents working as influencers is third-category income. That includes what followers pay to access a creator's exclusive content or spaces. Outlets such as DPL News and Trome explained at the time that the position covers people paid on subscription platforms like OnlyFans and Patreon.

Even if the money comes from abroad

Back in 2019, a SUNAT official told Gestión that much of creators' income comes from abroad and that, for a Peru resident, that income is taxable too. The same newspaper noted that some tax experts dispute part of that view, one more reason to review your case with a professional.

RUC and tax regime

To issue receipts and file returns, you need to register for a RUC. The government portal gob.pe explains there are four regimes: Nuevo RUS, the Special Regime (RER), the MYPE Tax Regime and the General Regime, each with different income limits (for example, Nuevo RUS goes up to 96,000 soles a year). Not every regime fits every activity, so an accountant should recommend yours, along with the rate that applies to you.

Get organized from the start

  • Download the platform's earnings report every month.
  • Keep the receipt for every transfer and your bank statements.
  • Collect receipts for your work expenses; your accountant will tell you which are deductible.
  • Set aside part of every payout for taxes.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Getting paid into a relative's or partner's account: the money is out of your control and you pass them a tax problem.
  • Giving your password to an "agency" that promises to handle your payouts. In Argentina, the press has documented cases of creators being pursued by the tax authority over income that agencies collected.
  • Accepting payments outside the platform, via Yape, Plin or direct transfer: you lose the site's protection and expose yourself to fraud.

To file and issue receipts, yes. An accountant can help you choose the regime that fits your activity and income.
