Yes, Bella Thorne, the former Disney Channel actress, opened OnlyFans in August 2020 and made over 1 million dollars in 24 hours. Price and backlash.
Her record made her a target for pages promising her content for free or selling fake access. The only real route is the link on her official Instagram. Read our guide to spotting fake accounts.
Yes. American actress Bella Thorne, who became famous as a child on Disney Channel, opened her OnlyFans account (nicknamed the “página azul,” or blue page, in Latin America) in August 2020, and her arrival made history: Variety reported that she passed 1 million dollars in her first 24 hours, a record for the platform at the time. She charged 20 dollars a month. Her debut also sparked a strong backlash among creators who already made a living on the site, and she ended up apologizing publicly.
She is an actress, singer and director. Variety remembers her for the Disney Channel teen series Shake It Up, for performing in a swan costume on season three of Fox's The Masked Singer, and for the Netflix horror films The Babysitter and its sequel, The Babysitter: Killer Queen. That same year she had signed a deal with Fox to develop teen-themed projects. When she joined OnlyFans she was 22, according to Fox News.
Thorne joined the platform on a Wednesday in mid-August 2020. A week later, Fox News, citing the Los Angeles Times, reported that she said she had brought in 2 million dollars in under seven days. Variety gave the rate: 20 dollars for one month, with discounts for those who paid for three or six months.
In her first comments she explained that the account was part of research for a film with director Sean Baker, who made The Florida Project, and that she planned to put the earnings into her production company and into charity. The project was soon in doubt: Variety added to its story that Baker clarified on August 28 that he was not making a film about OnlyFans with her. Fox News, for its part, described what was on her page in those days as glamour-style photos with nothing explicit, and said she was asking her followers what they wanted to see.
The success came at a cost. As The Hollywood Reporter recounted, many creators on the site accused her of hurting their income, because right afterwards OnlyFans changed some conditions, such as payment caps. On Saturday, August 29, Thorne replied in several tweets: she said her intention was to remove the stigma around that work and bring more people to the platform, acknowledged that in trying she had hurt them, and apologized. She also said she would meet with the company to ask about the new restrictions.
Since then her name appears on nearly every list of celebrities on OnlyFans. Telemundo put her at the top of its roundup of stars on the platform in August 2020, and in May 2026 E! News still included her in its gallery of stars with accounts. We have found no reports that she closed it.
If you are looking for other Hollywood actresses with a page, read about Shannon Elizabeth or rapper Cardi B, who opened her account that same month. All profiles are in our United States section.
