Does Haliey Welch have OnlyFans? The viral «Hawk Tuah» girl who says she never will

Does Haliey Welch have OnlyFans?

No. Haliey Welch, the young Tennessee woman who became famous in 2024 for a viral video known as «Hawk Tuah», does not have OnlyFans (the platform is nicknamed the “página azul,” or blue page, in Latin America). In a video posted on July 3, 2024, she asked her followers to stop requesting the link, because she has no account and, she said, never will: what she does is make jokes. Newsweek and OutKick reported her comments.

Who is Haliey Welch?

She is from Belfast, a small town in Tennessee, in the southern United States. Her fame began with a street interview by Tim & Dee TV, a YouTube duo that asks people questions on the street. Her answer, a double-meaning joke built around a sound nobody had heard before, became a meme, and people started calling her “the Hawk Tuah girl.” According to Newsweek, the original video passed 3.8 million views on YouTube, and clips spread across every platform.

Within days she hired a manager and a lawyer and opened an Instagram account that, according to OutKick, reached one million followers on July 7, 2024. The same outlet reported that she was set to earn more than 30,000 dollars for three public appearances in a single week.

What she said about OnlyFans

In the July video she went over the good and the bad of her sudden fame. She said she now has to get ready several times a week, that photographers had been camped outside her family's house for two weeks, and that she is bothered by people who pretend to be her online or sell merchandise with her catchphrase without her permission. Among the things she has not enjoyed she listed the constant requests to open an OnlyFans account, and she answered that it is not going to happen.

Newsweek added that she does not want to be remembered for the rest of her life only as the girl from the meme.

She also turned down Playboy

A few days later, in another video, she said Playboy magazine had contacted her and a friend about working together and that they said no. In the same clip she made clear that her fame was not planned and repeated that she will not join OnlyFans. OutKick tied this to her new plan: earning a living from appearances and her own merchandise.

Another internet figure who said no to the platform is influencer Sommer Ray; by contrast, YouTuber Tana Mongeau did open an account. More profiles in our United States section.
