Does Sommer Ray have OnlyFans? The influencer who said no to the platform and to 40 million

Does Sommer Ray have OnlyFans?

No. Sommer Ray, one of the most followed fitness influencers in the United States, does not have OnlyFans (the platform is nicknamed the “página azul,” or blue page, in Latin America). She said so in April 2023 on YouTuber George Janko's podcast: during the pandemic everyone around her pushed her to open an account, and someone estimated she could earn around 40 million dollars, but she decided against it. Dexerto and OutKick reported her comments, and in October 2023 she brushed off the idea again when some followers started a fundraiser to persuade her.

Who is Sommer Ray?

She started in 2013 with short videos on Vine, the app that came before TikTok. Around 2016 she moved into modeling, and soon after she opened a YouTube channel about fitness training, the field where she built her fame. According to Dexerto, in 2023 she had 1.7 million YouTube subscribers and more than 25 million Instagram followers; OutKick put the total close to 40 million across all her accounts.

Besides her work as an influencer, she has a clothing brand and performs as a DJ. In 2023 she toured under the name The Sommer Tour.

Why she turned down 40 million

In the conversation with Janko she admitted the money would have been huge and that the people close to her called her foolish for passing on it. Her reason for saying no was her image: she explained that she has spent years trying to be seen as more than her body, that she has “many layers,” and that an account on that platform would have stuck her with the label of “OnlyFans girl.”

She also said she is not driven only by money. Her goal, she said, is to look back one day and feel proud of the business she built.

The fan fundraiser

In October 2023 a follower set up a GoFundMe with a goal of 2,000 dollars to “convince” her to open an account. Dexerto reported that she replied on X on October 26 with a short, laughing message telling them they were crazy. The sources cited record no change in her position since then.

Another public figure who chose not to join OnlyFans is golfer Paige Spiranac; on the other side is YouTuber Corinna Kopf, who did have an account. More profiles in our United States section.
