Paige VanZant and her OnlyFans: the UFC fighter who earns more on the platform than in the cage

Does Paige VanZant have OnlyFans?

Yes. Paige VanZant, the American fighter who competed in the UFC from 2013 to 2020, opened her OnlyFans account (nicknamed the “página azul,” or blue page, in Latin America) in 2020 and now calls it her main source of income. In November 2023 Fox News and Infobae reported that she charged 9.99 dollars a month and that, in her words, she had made more in 24 hours on the platform than in her whole career as a fighter.

Who is Paige VanZant?

She is from the state of Oregon, in the U.S. Northwest, according to Fox News. She joined the UFC in 2013 and spent seven years with the promotion, where she became one of its most followed fighters on social media. Infobae noted that she trained with Team Alpha Male, one of the best-known gyms in mixed martial arts.

After leaving the UFC in 2020 she signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, had a short stint with the wrestling company All Elite Wrestling and in June 2024 debuted in Power Slap, Dana White's slap-fighting league. She is married to fighter Austin Vanderford and has more than 3 million followers on Instagram and nearly 2 million on TikTok.

“My largest source of income”

The line that went around the world came from Barstool Sports' Only Stans podcast in September 2023. There she said OnlyFans had been her biggest moneymaker, ahead of everything she was paid to fight, and that in a single day she had topped her combined fight earnings, according to Dexerto. She also said most of her subscribers are men who discovered her through her bouts.

According to Infobae, she opened the account after seeing fans constantly asking her for photos, and she plans to keep going despite the criticism. “If people don't want to hire me because I have an OnlyFans, I don't really care,” she said on that podcast. When UFC champion Sean Strickland mocked her, she answered on Instagram with irony, offering him money if he needed it. In June 2024 she went further in a TMZ interview cited by Fox News: fighting is just a hobby, her part-time job, because the platform is what supports her family.

Another American athlete with an account on the platform is tennis player Sachia Vickery. More profiles in our United States section.
